Plaintiff was walking southbound across Madison St. at Riverside Plaza when she was struck in the crosswalk by Defendant's westbound car traveling in the left lane. Plaintiff F-62 sustained a left knee injury which resulted in an ACL rupture, as well as contusions and nondisplaced tibia and femur fractures ($10,968 medl., $7,644 LT 6 weeks as insurance case worker, now retired). Defendant contended he had a green light, Plaintiff did not look at the pedestrian signal before she entered the crosswalk, Plaintiff ran into oncoming traffic, and he hit his brakes as soon as he saw her but he was unable to stop in time.
